Nun
offering Food (6-8) is a very common sequence that involves checking the arm
and then filing it from underneath.
Filing ca n be used to hyperextend the elbow joint or to bend the arm
for an arm bar.
In step
9, overhook with the left hand to pass the opponent’s arm.
In
steps 13-14, you step away from the wooden man and then turn back to attack
with the leg sweep and shoulder strike. It seems like a blind attack, but
you’re actually in contact and spinning under the opponent’s arm
In step
15, think of it as Hsing Yi reverse metal with a circular Pa Kua inflection.
It’s also like Step Back Repulsing the Monkey from the Tai Chi in that it is a
Yin strike deriving its power from the front foot. The right hand drills up your center. The left sets up in the crook of the right elbow, the right
cleans the left as you step back and strike with the left.
