Bow, face each other, turn tangent to the circle.

                 

Lean on the Road, Ask the Horse Directions

Open as in Pa Kua Chiang Chuan.  Step out right and thrust with the right fingers, palm up, to shoulder height.  Lay the left hand, palm up, in the elbow joint.

Flower Hides Under the Leaf

Hooking step left while bringing the right thumb, palm down, to the right shoulder.  Bring the left pinky, palm up, to the right hip.

Duck Flock Flies Out

Step out with the left foot to a left flat-footed empty stance.  Thrust the left hand under the right arm-pit, palm up.  Chop with the left to the center of the circle while the right hand pushes palm out to guard the left flank.

   

From left stance take 4 steps to another left stance, narrowing the circle to fighting distance.

Savage Tiger Comes Out of Pass

Hooking step right, step to a left equatorial stance .  Push down with left, finger thrust over left with right.

Falcon Turns Around

Catch the thrust on the left blade edge. Step right, hooking step left and grasp thrusting arm with both hands.  Step back and pivot to a left empty stance

 

             

 

           

 

Hooking step right and pivot to the left, stepping to a left equatorial stance. Arch the back to negate the throw attempt  and clean the right wrist with the left.  Step forward right to a right equatorial stance and finger thrust right.

Ferocious Tiger Pushes Mountain

Fade to a rooster stance and deflect upwards with the forearms.  Shuffle forward to a left equatorial stance and double palm strike, thumbs pointing downwards.

 

       

 

     

 

Duck Flock Flies Out

Exchange feet and deflect upwards with the forearms.  Step in to a left equatorial stance, circling the arms to the waist and double finger thrust to the throat.

Wipe Out Completely Ten Thousand Armies

Step obliquely to the left with the left foot while circling the right arm beneath the attack.  Step right and pivot to the right in a right high lotus, deflecting the attacking right arm.  Hooking step left and sweep the right arm to the attacker’s face.

 

              

 

Flying Swallow Skims the Water

Hooking step right and bring the right arm up above the head while bringing the left hand so that the knuckles touch the small of the back.  Drop down to a right tiger stance to evade the sweep and thrust the right fingers forward.  Single Change Palm with the right hand to a right flatfooted empty stance.

Deflect the chop with the right hand and slide down the wrist to capture the hand.  Step back right to a left flat-footed empty stance, pulling down with the left forearm.

 

   

 

           

 

Fairy Lady Offers the Book

Turn torso to the left, away from the opponent, and loose-arm.  Exchange the feet and backhand downward with the right hand while striking with a double impact punch using the left vertical fist.  Finish in a left equatorial stance with open right hand held at hip.

Exchange feet to a right equatorial stance as you circle the left arm under the opponent’s punch.  Trap the opponent’s left wrist and pull down with the right forearm.

 

   

 

      

 

Push the Mountains, Dive Into the Sea

Turn the torso to the right and loose-arm to free the left hand.  Turn back to a unicorn palm, left in temple block, right pushing away the opponent’s right arm

Tai Shan Sits on Your Top

Hooking step behind with the right foot.  Sweep the extended arms in a counterclockwise circle at shoulder height until the right arm clears the opponent’s right shoulder. Push down with the right and thrust with the left, stepping out to a left equatorial stance.

 

   

 

  

 

           

 

                     

 

Turn the left toes out, circle the left hand counterclockwise to the waist and circle the right hand clockwise to deflect the thrust to the inside while stepping to a right equatorial stance.

Step back left to a right equatorial stance while thrusting with the right fingers and pulling the left hand back to the waist.

 

             

Turn the right toes out and circle the right arm down clockwise to the waist.  Step out left to a left equatorial stance and circle the left hand up counterclockwise to deflect the thrust to the inside.

Step back right to a left equatorial stance while thrusting with the left fingers and pulling the right hand back to the waist.

 

      

 

Turn the left toes out.  Toe kick right to the groin and thrust with the right fingers to the throat. 

The move described above intercepts the opponents thrust and deflects and traps the kicking foot

 

      

 

 

Force the right foot down into a right equatorial stance while thrusting to the groin with the right fingers.  The left hand pulls back to the left hip.

Duck Flock Flies Out

Pivot to the right high tiger stance while adhering to the opponent’s right arm with your left, deflecting the finger thrust.  The right hand is held at the right hip.

Circle the left hand in a counterclockwise arc, pivoting on the shoulder.  Turn the left toes out and step with the right to a right equatorial stance.  Thrust to the throat, palm up, with the right hand.

 

          

 

Push the Little Boat Downstream

Circle the right arm in a clockwise arc one full circle as you step back right to a left equatorial stance.  Continue the circle and deflect the jab with the right palm catching the wrist and the left palm catching the elbow.  Palms face outward to the right

Hooking step left and repeat the previous move by circling the left arm in a counterclockwise direction to clean off the opponent’s hands and push them to the left.  Step in right and finger thrust with the right hand, palm up.

 

         

 

      

 

Sit back to a right flat-footed empty while sweeping the right hand to the right and the left hand to the left in a horizontal arc at shoulder height.  Sweep the left arm back to the right and circle the right hand to the right hip, fingers open and palm up.  Push down with the left and finger thrust right, stepping back with the left foot to a right equatorial stance.

Remove the Flower, Link the Wood

Hooking step left and deflect the thrust with the left forearm.  Turn the left toes out, lift with the left forearm and step right to a right equatorial stance. Thrust with the right fingers, palm up, to the throat.

 

      

 

    

 

Circle the right arm in a clockwise vertical circle and step back to a left equatorial stance.  Catch the thrust with the right hand and attack the elbow with the left fist.

Step left to a left equatorial stance, pushing the opponent’s chest with the left hand while withdrawing the right hand to the waist.

 

        

 

     

 

 

Slide the left hand under the opponent’s left hand and grab it while pulling down on the arm with the right forearm.  Simultaneously, step back to a left inside empty stance. Step out right to a right equatorial stance and backhand to the head with the right forearm.

Monkey Offers Fruit

Fade to a right rooster stance and circle the hands to the waist, palm up.  Double thrust with fingers to the throat while kicking to the groin with the left foot.

 

          

 

      

 

Purple Swallow Throws It’s Wing

Slap the left foot with the right hand while taking a hooking step to the left with the right foot.  Thrust the left arm under the right and step out left to begin walking the circle in a counter-clockwise rotation. Back-hand with the palm heel to the center of the circle and guard the left flank with the right hand.

Flower Hides Under the Leaf

Cross step down with the left foot, sweeping the left arm to the left, palm up.  Sweep the right arm to the right through its full range of motion and then circle it to the right hip, palm up.  Turn the left toes out and step right while thrusting with the right fingers and sweeping the left hand across the chest and under the right arm.  Step out left and single change palm left.  Walk the circle in a counterclockwise direction.

Closing:

Take the Helmet from the Back of the Head, Hold The Moon Against The Bosom

While walking a counter-clockwise circle in Dragon Palm, hooking step right to an inside change. Thrust the right hand out above the left bicep while bringing the left palm to the right shoulder.  Continue the right arm sweep to the right through its full range of motion, as in Take the Helmet From the Back of  the Head.  Sweep the left arm to shoulder height as the right hand is withdrawn to the right hip while stepping out left to a left equatorial stance.   Sweep the right hand to the right, palm up and fully extended at shoulder height, while turning the right toes out and tangential to the circle.  Extend the left arm fully at shoulder height palm up and step in left to opening stance.  Pivoting on the elbows, press the palms down to the tan tien.  Turn to face your partner and bow.
